In case you haven’t noticed from your email, we have started backing other publishing projects currently live on Kickstarter. You’ll see a video coming about this later this week on Brandon’s YouTube channel.
...Unfortunately, this has generated MANY emails for our followers. We did not know this would happen, and have stopped for the moment while we research how to do this without all the spam to you. We wanted to drop a quick apology. Watch later this week for information on why we did this, what we backed, and the fun Brandon had with this!
UPDATE: Okay so it looks like these emails only went to the around 1,800 people who follow our account. Sorry to those awesome followers! We are unable to turn off these notifications, so instead we created a second account and will be backing any further projects from that account instead. Thanks everyone for your understanding!

New Thank You Gift and Swag Box Sneak Peek!

Thank you! Thank you all, so much! You have shown us so much support, and while we keep saying it, we can’t truly express in words our appreciation for this community.
With that in mind, we felt as a team that we wanted to do something (or somethings) special to give back. You have already made us the Most Funded Kickstarter campaign in history. Rather than creating stretch goals, we would love to offer “Thank You” gifts instead. Brandon announced the first last week, which we linked to in our previous update. During tonight’s livestream, Brandon presented two more.
Dragonsteel will now cover all customs and duties on international shipments. What this means is that the shipping prices you pay in this campaign will be your final shipping cost—you will not receive an additional bill from FedEx upon delivery. Your packages will be shipped directly to you with a significantly reduced chance of being returned to us.
Note: While we would love to be able to offer local distribution or customized shipping schedules, it is unfortunately not possible for this campaign. But we hear your suggestions and are continuing to explore additional international shipping options, both in our store and for future campaigns. In the meantime, we hope this gift will help those affected by the worldwide increase in shipping costs.
Brandon also announced that we will be including an epic bookmark with Secret Project #1! This large bookmark will match our previous epic bookmarks and feature the Hoid image from our Kickstarter page. Note: We are putting together a digital thank you gift for all backers. Stay tuned!

We Just Became the #1 Kickstarter of All Time

Everyone, I'm supposed to WRITE fantasy worlds—not live in them.
Not long ago we hit 20 MILLION on this Kickstarter, and as of this posting we've crossed an incredible threshold. We just became the number one Kickstarter of all time.
Wow.
When I started writing Secret Project #1 two years ago, I had no idea what this would become. Back then it was just a chance to do something different, to search out a new kind of voice for my writing and give something special to my wife. Yet I can't help but think that something huge has just changed. Not just for me, but for publishing as a whole.
Who would have thought that a group of quirky stories could rival—then topple—technological innovations and beloved game projects. I'm floored. And you did this all without even knowing what you were getting, save that I promised you it was awesome.
Thank you for this, and for making my dreams into realities. I will do my best to continue sharing new ones with you each chance I can.
